Registro de facturación (Verifactu invoicing record)
A registro de facturación is the electronic record that, under Verifactu, the software generates when issuing each invoice, holding its essential data, a hash chained to the previous record's hash, and backing the verification QR code on the invoice itself. There are only creation and cancellation records, never deletions: if an invoice is voided, both the creation and the cancellation stay on record.
The chained hashes mean any later alteration breaks the chain and becomes detectable, which is why mistakes are not fixed by editing records: you issue a corrective invoice or a cancellation record, depending on the case. The full mechanics are explained in our guide what is Verifactu.
