Modelo 037 (simplified registration form, now abolished)

Modelo 037 was the simplified version of the census registration form, the short form many freelancers used to register with the Spanish tax agency. It was abolished with effect from 3 February 2025, and every procedure that used to go through the 037 is now filed with Modelo 036.

The change came with Orden HAC/1526/2024, which also reworked Modelo 036 to make it easier to handle. If a guide tells you to file a 037, it is outdated: the equivalent procedure now goes through the 036.
